At The Covington, we’ve aspired to be a love story about Martha’s Vineyard.
Started by Patrick and Theodore Courtney after successfully operating The Port Hunter, The Covington has been in the capable hands of Chef Alexander Said for the last four years. Recently receiving a StarChefs Rising Star Award, Al arrived on the island via CT, PA, and lastly Boston, MA. In 2020, he joined veteran Bar Director Trevor Christian, who has been reinventing and refreshing the bar program here since 2018. A native of California, coming to the island by way of Boston, Trevor has been honing his craft over the years, and has brought all of his experience to delight our guests. Together, Al and Trevor have worked seamlessly to raise each other up, and have been working tirelessly to provide the best possible dining experience on the island.
